Norfolk Tides squander three-run lead, fall to Gwinnett Stripers

Forrest Wall’s RBI single in the seventh inning lifted the Gwinnett Stripers to a 4-3 victory over the Norfolk Tides at Harbor Park on Wednesday night.

The Tides (9-14) lost their 13th game in 15 tries after squandering a 3-0 lead. Wall finished with two of the Stripers 12 hits.

Kyle Stowers and Daniel Johnson homered and Errol Robinson drew a bases-loaded walk.

Norfolk’s Bruce Zimmermann pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two.

The series continues Thursday with a 12:05 p.m. game at Harbor Park. p.m. Norfolk LHP Cade Povich (2-1, 0.83) and Gwinnett LHP Dylan Dodd (2-1, 4.22) are the scheduled starters.
